Where Are Our Talent Show Celebs Now?

When it comes to finding talent in the UK, where better to look than TV?! A talent show is cemented in British entertainment, as it has found some of the biggest stars to date; including Little Mix, Susan Boyle and Diversity.

So, you won’t be surprised that here at CelebAgents, our talent includes those that started as beginners on our screens. And blossomed right before our eyes. Even after their stint on talent shows has ended, our celebs still are working in the industry in exciting ways!

Check out our biggest celebs that made their start on the biggest talent shows, including The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent and even Eurovision!

The Fizz – Eurovision

The Godmother of all talent shows. Eurovision Song Contest has graced our screens since 1956 and has been the start of some of the most iconic artists. We’re talking Celine Dion. ABBA. And of course, Bucks Fizz!

Our talent show royalty. Nowadays, three of the original members are still out touring together. Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston, now The Fizz, are not letting the song contest define their career. They are here to showcase their talents around the country and show they’ve still got the iconic tunes in their repertoire.

Chris & Wes – Got To Dance

Back in 2014, best friends Chris & Wes performed and won Sky 1’s talent show Got to Dance. They captured hearts with their unique and comical dance style, whilst cementing their bubbly personalities in UK pop culture.

Since then, the lads have continued to dance. Most recently, the two performed last minute as Captain Hook’s right-hand men Swash & Buckle. And, of course, the two showed their moves that have only improved since their iconic talent show time. Keep watching this space to see what Chris & Wes will do next!

Andrew Lancaster – Britain’s Got Talent

Back in 2018, our very own Andrew Lancaster took BGT audiences by storm, when he shocked us with the best impressions of various characters. From Donald Trump and Nigel Farage to funnyman Russell Brand. Andrew stunned the judges, with even Simon saying “it’s always great on these shown when we discover somebody like you”.

Getting to the semi-finals, Andrew has continued what made him so loved on the talent show. He has performed in various countries and now resides in Mexico City. Currently, Andrew has his own podcast, where his various voices interact with each other on relevant topics. Find this on Youtube and Spotify.

Joe McElderry – X Factor

The golden boy that captured the nation’s hearts. From South Shields, Joe McElderry turned into an overnight sensation by auditioning for The X Factor. And that was only the beginning of his journey.

Nowadays, Joe is still touring around the country. In 2022, he is embarking on a personal homage to one of his icons: George Michael. His tour, FREEDOM starring Joe McElderry, is playing at multiple venues across England, Scotland and Wales. Joe’s high-energy show will be dedicated to the iconic late singer, including a reference to their emotionally stunning duet of Don’t Let the Sun Do Down On Me on The X Factor. But, when it comes to talent shows, our Joe is no stranger! In both 2011 and 2015, he appeared in popular talent shows Channel 4’s The Jump and ITV’s Popstar to Operastar, winning both.
