Lucy Kay is coming to Derby’s Guildhall Theatre

Operatic soprano Lucy shot to fame in 2014 when she became the runner-up on the ITV talent show to another classical act, Collabro, who performed recently at the Donington Live concert.

Lucy stunned the Britain’s Got Talent judges and audience at her opening audition when she performed Vissi D’arte. She also gave a rapturous and heartfelt performance at the final of Nessun Dorma.

More recently, Lucy has been hard at work touring the country in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s hit musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

She has sung with the likes of Andrea Bocelli, Russell Watson and Lucy, as well as Collabro, and her debut album, Fantasia, quickly reached the top of the classical album charts.

Although known for her outstanding classical, soprano voice, Lucy also wows audiences with her pop and musical theatre vocals and her wide-ranging repertoire.

Supporting Lucy will be The Rockabellas – today’s answer to The Andrews Sisters. They combine close harmony vocals with bespoke big band arrangements, cute choreography and top-to-toe pin-up couture.

Lucy Kay comes to the Guildhall Theatre on Sunday, at 7.30pm. Tickets are priced £22. Call 01332 255 800 or visit www.derbylive.co.uk.
