Hayley Leitch, well known for her appearances on Channel 4’s ‘Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners’, now has her own program. Following the same concept, she is assisting those who have hoarding issues to clean and organise their houses. Leitch collaborated with Channel 5 to create the home transformation show, which premiered in September of this year, called ‘Dirty Home Rescue’. She went on to routinely appear on Steph’s Packed Lunch the year before, offering her inventive and cost-efficient cleaning techniques. But, what else has she been up to?
Hayley Leitch and OCD
Hayley has always been candid about her difficulties with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and mental health in general. In late 2021, she even did a podcast with Carly Cunningham, another cleaner on the Channel 4 show, where they would discuss mental health, cleaning, and social media. She even decided to go on Channel 4’s Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners to help her OCD. On the show, she would go to the homes of people who have a hoarding issue and haven’t cleaned in years. She did this to help reduce her anxiety around germs and filth. She now utilises her social media platforms and services to raise awareness of OCD and assist individuals in cleaning up their cluttered, unclean houses.
What Is She Doing Now?
As previously mentioned, she is still currently working on her new show ‘Dirty Home Rescue’, which is available on My5. The series is a weekly occurrence and currently consists of 11 episodes. Aside from that, she gives her fans little glimpses of her organising, her life, and plenty of selfies! She has a YouTube Channel called ‘Hayleys Help’ that has generated 1.3 million video views over the years. On the channel, she posts vlogs that give us an insight into her daily life as well as cleaning advice, tips and discusses how she coped with her OCD.
Book Hayley Leitch
After years of battling against OCD, she has now recovered and continually supports charities like OCD action to show her support. She states that she loves “being able to help find solutions to all our cleaning woes as it can be massively overwhelming when you begin navigating the world of homemaking. I hope that I can sprinkle a little bit of humour and help to make these tasks more bearable”. To keep up with Hayley Leitch and our other clients, head over to our Instagram.
