EastEnders Jo Cotton’s Storyline

Jo Cotton is the wife of Tom Cotton, and her first appearance on the show was on 29 March 2023.

Jo and Tom got married more than twenty-five years ago, but Tom has never spoken much about her. In fact, he once referred to Jo as his fiancée. When Tom’s fiancée, Kathy Beale, starts planning their wedding, Tom hesitates to go through with it and reveals to Sonia Fowler that he is already married to Jo.

Sonia, Reiss Colwell, and Tom then set out to find Jo so that Tom can divorce her and marry Kathy. However, when they are unsuccessful in their search, Tom confesses everything to Kathy, causing her to call off the wedding. Later on, Freddie Slater manages to locate Jo and brings her to Kathy’s doorstep, where Jo introduces herself and asks if her husband is home.
