Newcastle-born actress Natalie Ann Jamieson is best known for playing Amy Wyatt in ITV’s Emmerdale, a role she made her own over six years. First appearing in 2019, Amy’s story took her through turbulent family relationships, motherhood and life in the village, culminating in a dramatic exit in 2025. Natalie’s portrayal earned her a nomination for Best Newcomer at the 2019 TV Choice Awards.

Natalie’s passion for acting began at Newcastle’s Live Youth Theatre. After studying at Newcastle College, she trained at Rose Bruford College, graduating in 2011. Before joining Emmerdale, she appeared in ITV crime drama Vera, BBC medical drama Doctors and the film I, Daniel Blake. Her theatre work has also included productions with Newcastle’s Live Theatre and Open Clasp Theatre Company.

Alongside her screen and stage work, Natalie has appeared on Pointless Celebrities and Celebrity Mastermind, where she raised funds for Cure Usher. Proud of her Geordie roots, she has spoken about the importance of regional theatre and opportunities for working-class actors.

Since leaving Emmerdale, Natalie has been looking ahead to new challenges in television, film and theatre. She is keen to explore a range of roles and bring her warmth, humour and strong connection to the North East to future projects.
