Elizabeth Rizzini is a TV weather presenter on the BBC. She was trained by the Met Office and is based in London.

Elizabeth Rizzini is a Met Office trained BBC TV weather presenter and has worked across all regional and national platforms from Local BBC Radio to 5 Live and Radio 4; from the Six o’Clock News to BBC London and BBC World. She has an interest in space weather and astronomy and produced and presented a weekly stargazer’s forecast for the BBC’s longest running programme, the Sky at Night as well as for BBC Weather.

Her forecast for the Mars rover landing in 2018 was featured on C4’s Gogglebox. Elizabeth has also produced and presented pieces for Newsround and the Antiques Roadshow.

Her favourite time of year is Wimbledon fortnight, and she regularly forecasts from the tournament. Elizabeth’s proudest moment was when she ran the London marathon in 2016 and managed to finish in one piece.

Elizabeth was born in London and grew up in Croydon. She has lived and studied in both France and Spain and was based in Madrid for a number of years before returning to do a masters degree, in which she tackled the subject of environmental journalism and climate change. Her first outing in broadcast meteorology was compiling and presenting a bilingual jellyfish report for Spanish coastal resorts. Elizabeth is fluent in both Spanish and Italian. While she is London born and bred, she’s also a regular visitor to the Isle of Wight where her extended family live. Elizabeth currently lives in South London with her two daughters, two cats and two guinea pigs, who also make the occasional appearances on BBC Radio.
