Football fans will be forgiven for getting confused when West Ham legend Tony Cottee got behind the bar of The Goose pub.

He joined manager Oliver McCloney before signing autographs and posing for photos with fans, before moving onto nearby The Langthorne.

His visit to the two pubs, both on the Broadway, Stratford, was to mark the Hammers’ relocation to the London Stadium.

Lee Wilson, area manager for the pubs’ owners, Stonegate, said: “This is just the start of the welcome we will be providing for West Ham fans.
