Scott Wright is an English actor, singer and musician, widely recognised for his role as Sam Kingston in ITV’s Coronation Street, for which he received a National Television Award nomination for Most Popular Newcomer. His acting career spans television, film and theatre, with a broad range of dramatic and leading roles.

Scott’s television credits include ITV’s Crossroads and Emmerdale, BBC One’s Casualty, Channel 4’s Shameless, and the acclaimed drama Midwinter of the Spirit, in which he appeared opposite Anna Maxwell Martin and David Threlfall. He also played the title role in Tristan for Merlin International Films.

On stage, Scott toured nationally in Bill Kenwright’s production of The Shawshank Redemption, playing Jordan Dawkins to critical praise. In 2018, he filmed the television pilot Two Wolves, working alongside Sir Derek Jacobi, James Cosmo, and Emmy Award–winning actress Dove Cameron. In 2020, he appeared in Doctors as Scott Keane.

As a musician, Scott has collaborated and performed with several multi-platinum international artists, including Alexander O’Neal, Martha Reeves, David Cassidy, Candi Staton, and Jordan Knight.

In 2023, Scott produced and took the title role in the feature film The Stoic, starring Jason Flemyng (Snatch, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button) and Bruce Payne (Passenger 57, Dungeons & Dragons).

Scott continues to work across acting, music, and production. He is currently the host of the podcast Session 7: No Rules Apply alongside broadcaster and columnist Gaynor Morgan, where together they explore creative journeys, personal resilience and real-life storytelling.
