Pat Sharp

Pat Sharp presented his first daytime show for BBC Radio 1 aged 20. Following his stint at the BBC plus numerous ‘Top of the Pops’ TV appearances, he then hosted mid mornings at 95.8 Capital FM London. Along the way he picked up a gold Sony award whilst also notching up 5 hit singles and raising £300,000 for charity as part of the infamous Stock Aitken Waterman duo ‘Pat & Mick’. Next he took his mid-morning slot to #1 again at Heart London.

Pat has also hosted afternoons across the UK on Smooth Radio and more recently weekends at Greatest Hits Radio and he presents a radio show across Norway on P 8 Pop.

On TV Pat hosted the cult rated ITV show FunHouse for a decade along with other ITV shows including the Saturday morning spectacular What’s Up Doc plus The Gala Opening of Euro Disney.

Pat was the pioneer host of Sky’s first pop video shows (Skytrax) shown across Europe in 28 countries via satellite throughout the 80s.

He won The Weakest Link raising £13K for charity and appeared again as a contestant on the revamped version in 2022. Some other TV credits include Come Dine With Me, The Games, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, Ready Steady Cook, Mastermind, The Wheel, Eggheads, Pointless Celebrities, Coach Trip, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, Through the Keyhole, I Literally Just told You. Pat appears regularly on Universal’s music channels Now 70s & 80s.

He hosted and performed to a sell-out crowd live at London’s O2 Arena with Pat & Mick as part of Pete Waterman’s Hit Factory Live extravaganza. He was also the support act for the Bros reunion gigs at the same venue, plus he’s the compere & DJ for the UK’s Let’s Rock & Rewind summer retro festivals. Pat’s played at Snowbombing in Austria many times over the years, along with DJ sets in Ibiza, Norway & Dubai too.

On both TV & radio he has voiced commercials for Pampers, Warner Bros Cinemas, Rice Krispies Squares, Branston Pickle & Surf.

Recently he starred in a tv commercial for Walkers celebrating the return of their classic Quavers flavours from the 90s and his literary biography ‘Re-Run The Fun’ was a big seller that met with rave reviews.
