Jodie Grinham was Born in 1993 in Haverford West, Wales, Jodie currently trains at the Lilleshall National Sports Centre in Telford and resides in Crawley, West Sussex, where she grew up with her partner, son, and two stepchildren. Born with a disability called Brachysyndactyly, which affects their left hand, forearm, shoulder, and core, Jodie has never let this stand in her way of achieving excellence.
Her journey in archery began in 2008 when a member of her father’s archery club doubted her ability to shoot due to her disability. Determined to prove otherwise, Jodie and her father devised a method that enabled her to participate. In just six months, she were scouted for the Junior Sussex able-bodied team. By 2010, after hiding her disability from many, Jodie joined the GB Para Archery Academy.
Since then, Jodie has amassed numerous international accolades, including a silver medal at the Rio Paralympics, and bronze and gold medals in Paris. She holds multiple world, European, and UK records, and currently reigns as doubles World Champion, individual and mixed team European Cup Finals Champion, and the Able-Bodied UK National Tour Finals Champion.
Her remarkable achievements have led to appearances on prominent TV shows, including “A League of Their Own,” “Question of Sport,” “The Last Leg,” “The Lorraine Show,” and Nickelodeon’s “Play Like a Sponge.”

Jodie uses her platform to challenge stereotypes about women in sports, particularly concerning pregnancy. She advocates that women, including those expecting, should not be treated differently or hindered in their pursuit of excellence in sport.
